In Orange County CPA accounting and financial news, dual registered adviser and CPA Robert B. Clanton is rejoining his former partner Paul Helfman. A founding member with Helfman back in 1988, Clanton left in 1999 to build his own practice. The firm announced Clanton would rejoin as a partner, and the company would be renamed to Helfman, Davis & Clanton, CPAs, apc. The change is effective immediately.
“We are thrilled to have Bob back with our Orange County accounting and financial adviser firm,” said partner Paul Helfman. “Bob’s experience and knowledge will be a big asset to our firm and our clients. And on a personal note, I’m happy to be working closely again with a dear friend.”
Clanton and Helfman were partners for 11 years and built the firm from a team of 4 to 15 before Clanton left to found Clanton Adviser Services. Without Clanton, Helfman continued to build and expand the firm, acquiring 4 other small firms and their clients. Partner Scott Davis joined the firm in 1990 and has helped Helfman expand the Orange County CPA firm to its current staff size of 30. “Bob’s financial planning expertise is going to benefit to our clients tremendously. His addition brings a lot of energy to the start of 2016, and positions us well for the years to come.”
Clanton was also excited about the move. “I’ve known Paul for 25 years. When the opportunity arose for us to join forces once more I couldn’t believe it. It’s a true privilege to be working with him again, with Scott, and the entire team.”
